WARRI, Delta State — The National Association of Itsekiri Graduates (NAIG) has elected a new set of national executives to steer the affairs of the association following its election held on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
A total of 46 eligible voters participated in the exercise, which members described as peaceful, free and fair. All candidates contested their respective positions unopposed.
At the end of the election, Esiategiwa Mino emerged as the new President of the association.
The elected executives are:
– President: Esiategiwa Mino
– Vice President: Oritseneyi Frederick Idounagbe
– General Secretary: Tetsoma Neyin Uruneden
– Assistant Secretary: Oruru Justina Ekpeju
– Financial Secretary: Iwetan Julius Ovie
– Treasurer: Eyituoyo Adoro
– Public Relations Officer I: Omajuwa Jude Tosan
– Public Relations Officer II: Mayor Benjamin Mogbeyi
– Project Director: Akperi Itse Joshua
– Welfare Director: Ogiliki Oritsematosan Henry
– Provost: Okorugbo Testimony Ojoereku
The electoral process was conducted by the Electoral Committee led by Comrade Esimaje Richard Ejueyitsi as Chairman and Comrade Ehigiator Sophia Tosan as Secretary, alongside other members of the committee.
The election was observed by members of the NAIG Board of Trustees, including Barr. Rex Ireyefoju and Mr. Edun Gbesimi, who monitored the exercise.
The apex youth body of Warri Kingdom, Ugbarajo Itsekiri Youths (UIY), also observed the election. The delegation was led by the National President, Comrade Joseph Okotie, accompanied by the General Secretary, Comrade Jolomi Jakpa, and the Director of Women Affairs, Comrade Alero Olugbo.
Also present were representatives of the National Association of Itsekiri Students (NAIS), including the Financial Secretary, Apoh Sholaye, and the Treasurer, Kperegbeyi Orighomisan Joy, who attended as observers.
The successful conduct of the election marks the beginning of a new leadership for the National Association of Itsekiri Graduates, with members expressing optimism that the newly elected executives will work to advance the objectives of the association and promote the welfare of Itsekiri graduates.
